Inclusive Children's Books

I believe it is important for children to see themselves represented in books.

When I created my children's books, Slow Down Amaya and Slow Down Sammy, I was mindful of the lack of diversity in kid's literature.

That's why I decided to create Black and neurodivergent characters.

This gives children the opportunity to see themselves, and/or their peers in children’s books, while learning mindfulness techniques and social emotional skills.

Why I Created this Offer

While home educating your child(ren) you may want to share a unique learning experience with an author.

There are many reasons to home school children. As the oldest sibling in a neurodiverse family, I understand the challenges that can arise around attending school for children with additional support needs.

I wanted to provide an experience that might only usually be offered in the traditional schooling system.

I have 7 years experience working with children and families to provide social and emotional activities, and family support.

Plus, I'm a qualified mindfulness and yoga teacher for children, teens and adults. And of course an author!

I'm passionate about sharing tools that children can add to their emotional/wellbeing toolkit.
