Supporting Siblings in Neurodiverse Families

A 7-Day Mini-Course for Neurotypical Siblings to Manage Big Emotions

I can remember growing up not fully knowing or understanding what neurodiversity was.

I knew that neurodivergent children needed more support which was difficult to get.

And that they sometimes had a different way of communicating and interacting with the world.

When I started working in the charity sector I realised that neurotypical siblings might seem like they're fine, however they were often carrying a seemingly invisible emotional load.

I was a child who used to worry about what might happen in the future and not know how to express my emotions.

Instead I held onto them and hoped that they would disappear on their own. Which wasn't a helpful way to think!

Imagine siblings in your neurodiverse family…

Using positive coping strategies to manage their big emotions

Feeling more confident and having an increased self-esteem during their everyday activities

Having calm bonding time with their neurodivergent sibling(s)

Creating time for taking care of themselves with self-care practices

Feeling less worried and able to express and let go of anxious thoughts.

That's why I created this mini-course.

To help your child learn ways to manage their emotions and create more peaceful moments for your family. So you they won't feel like they need to bottle up their feelings and only release them in stressful moments.

The week worth of activities are based on my knowledge, skills and experience from 15+ years in the community education field, mindfulness, meditation and yoga teachings, and my own personal experience.

Who is This Course for?

Supporting Siblings in Neurodiverse Families is designed for children aged 5-9 years old who have a neurodivergent (undiagnosed or diagnosed) sibling(s).

It provides a space for children to:

- Explore and express emotions

- Build self-awareness and self-regulation strategies

- Develop kindness and compassion towards themselves

The course is self-paced and includes activities for your child to do themselves, with you, and with you and their sibling(s).

So you can support your children through interactive activities at a time that suits you all!
