Diverse & Inclusive Wellness Spaces

Ensuring your wellness business is inclusive helps your current and potential clients feel safe and welcomed.

Stepping into a studio or virtual space can feel daunting when you're a Black person, or a POC. Especially if you haven't attended a session where there isn't anyone in the room who looks like you.

I was that person.

Placing my mat at the back of the room with the mindset that I wouldn't be seen, compared to being at the front.

After building my self-belief and confidence I became the person holding space for individuals and groups to guide them on their wellbeing journey.

Now, I want to help you increase your awareness and knowledge about the importance of diversity and inclusion by offering a unique training about:

Creating a Racially Inclusive Wellness Business

An insightful 3-hour training for trainee yoga teachers, mindfulness teachers, and coaches who want to create a business that values inclusion, cultural awareness and a sense of belonging.

This is where you have the opportunity to learn, reflect and hear real-life experiences from a Black Scottish wellness professional, to create an inclusive space where your students/clients can feel safe, heal, and support their wellbeing.

This training covers:

Brand Culture

Supporting Black industry peers & clients

Talking about race

Microaggressions

Mental health and the nervous system

This interactive and thought provoking training aims to:

Increase your awareness of the importance of diversity and inclusion.

Share real life examples and experiences.

Provide practical suggestions of how to improve and develop your wellness brand.

Create space for you to interact and discuss building diverse and inclusive practices with wellness professionals.

This is For You If

You’re committed to graduating teachers and facilitators who are not only skilled, but also culturally aware and promote the importance of diversity and inclusion.

You’ve recognised the lack of racial diversity in your cohorts, and want to move from awareness to action. So that you can increase representation in future cohorts and your teaching spaces.

Your current training curriculum doesn’t include or go deep into racial equity, diversity, or inclusion. And you know your students should know more.

You want your graduates to feel confident creating spaces where Black, and POC clients and students feel safe, included, and respected.

You value collaboration, accountability, and bringing in educators with lived and professional experience in racial equity and wellness.

Through a presentation, reflective exercises, discussions and group activities, you’ll be empowered to take proactive actions in your business.

It brings you a perspective from my personal and professional experience, in a safe environment to ask questions and engage in conversations with others.

Previous participants were asked to share how they would describe the training in one word…

Expansive. Inspiring. Interesting. Insightful. Emotional. Important. Reassuring. Thought provoking. Amazing. Interesting. Great.

Testimonials

“From your training today, I've realised that it's not enough to just be kind.”

- Trainee Coach

Natasha provided some training to my Spectacular School trainees. She was great. The session was a great introduction. Natasha made everyone feel welcomed and safe to talk freely about their experiences no matter where they were on their journey with anti-racism (people are obviously at varying stages). Her personal examples from her own experience were particularly powerful. A thought provoking and valuable session. Thank you Natasha.”
